Information for Referrers

Thank you for considering My Healthful Clinic for your patient’s care.

I am an Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) and Certified Insulin Pump Trainer with more than 20 years of clinical nursing experience and over a decade specialising in diabetes, endocrinology and metabolic health.

My practice provides comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, prescribing and ongoing management for adults with:

  • Type 1 diabetes
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Diabetes technology (continuous glucose monitoring and insulin pump therapy)
  • Complex insulin management
  • Obesity and weight management
  • Cardiometabolic risk reduction
  • Endocrine conditions commonly managed in primary care
  • Women’s metabolic health, including menopause

Following consultation, a comprehensive management plan is developed and communicated to you as the referring clinician. Patients are encouraged to maintain an ongoing relationship with their usual GP, and I work collaboratively with referrers and other members of the healthcare team to support coordinated, evidence-based care.

My clinical approach is patient-centred, evidence-based and focused on improving long-term health outcomes while supporting primary care.

Prior to entering private practice, I was the Clinical Nursing Lead and Manager of the Diabetes and Endocrine Service at the Launceston General Hospital, where I worked from 2016 to 2023. In 2023, I transitioned into primary care and now practise exclusively in private practice, providing advanced nurse practitioner services for people living with diabetes, obesity, endocrine disorders and complex metabolic conditions.

Advanced Education

My ongoing professional development includes advanced education in women’s health, obesity medicine and metabolic disease, including:

  • National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health – Sexual Health Victoria
  • SCOPE School (Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education) – World Obesity Federation
  • National Australian Centre for Obesity Services (NACOS) professional education in obesity management

  • Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM)

I also contribute to postgraduate nursing education as a clinical educator, supporting the development of the future nursing workforce.
