About Sam
Hi, I'm Sam Beattie, an Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator with more than 20 years of clinical experience.
My passion for diabetes care began when my son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of four. That experience gave me a unique understanding of the challenges faced by people living with diabetes and their families, and it continues to shape the way I care for my patients today.
Over the last 2 decades I have focused on training and education to be able to support a person health journey beyond just diabetes.
I've had the privilege of working with people at every stage of their health journey.
Whether supporting someone newly diagnosed with diabetes or helping them navigate new technologies, or managing complex metabolic health conditions, including weight loss and menopause, my focus is always about you.
I am aware that there is a lot of information on the internet and social media and can help sift through this and provide practical, evidence-based support that fits the your goals..
My approach
I believe that you deserve healthcare that is respectful and tailored to their individual needs.
I take the time to understand your circumstances, explain their options clearly, and work with them to develop strategies that support your health goals.
My goal is to help you better understand your health, feel confident in managing you condition, and make informed decisions that support your long term wellbeing.
