Practice Fees
Appointments
Our appointments here are longer than standard consultations which allows us time to understand your health and build a plan that fits your life. Medicare pays part of every consultation. You pay the gap, which depends on which of three fee levels fits you. We will let you know which one applies when you book, so there are no surprises on the day.
Concession
For people who hold a current Concession Card. Please bring your card to your first appointment.
Program
For people in an active program of care with us. A program is a plan we've made together, with a clear purpose and your next review already booked. It might be starting or adjusting insulin, getting ready for a pump, starting a sensor, or a metabolic, weight or menopause treatment plan.
You stay on the program fee as long as you come back within three months, or if you have a booked review appointment. Three months is when your HbA1c and other bloods are due again, so it's the natural rhythm of ongoing care. Short appointments along the way, like scripts, sensor requests and results, are charged at the program fee too.
Standard
For first appointments, one-off visits, and care that picks up again after a break of more than three months. If you're new, this applies only until we've set up your plan and booked your next review. From the appointment after that, you move to the program fee.
DVA and NDIS
DVA cardholders have no gap to pay. NDIS funded services are charged at NDIS rates.
Our fees apply from 1 October 2026. Fees are the same for in person and telehealth (video or phone) appointments. Questions about which fee applies to you? Email sam@myhealthfulclinic.com.au.

General Information
How does it work?
In person, you pay the full fee and the Medicare claim gets lodged at the end of your appointment - the rebate goes straight back onto your card. For telehealth, you pay the full fee and the Medicare claim is lodged when you book - the rebate goes into the bank account you have registered with them. A receipt is emailed to you in both cases.
What if life gets in the way?
It happens. Illness, a hospital stay, a loss in the family, a delay getting your device or medication. If something like this kept you away, tell me at your appointment. We can take it into account.
GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMP)
You do not need a GPCCMP to book an appointment. Although Sam is a Credentialed Diabetes Educator and can bill using this scheme, her Nurse Practitioner status allows access to continuing Medicare item numbers in the same way you GP does.
Department of Veterans' Affairs DVA
Eligible DVA Cardholders can book directly - no referral is needed from your GP.
